Art releases me from my comfort zone. It frees me from expectation and judgement. Remember being a child—exploring a forest for the first time?

Eyes wide open, searching, taking in the trees, flowers, ferns? No phone or clock. No news of the world. Just being present in the wonder around you.  Artmaking remains that forest for me.

I find mosaic art, in all its wondrous forms, so fascinating.  Ancient, luxurious, touchable.
